GEZZINA was founded by designer Lisa Geertjes, with a personal story quietly woven into the brand's identity. The name is drawn from her mother’s second name — an intimate tribute to the woman who first introduced her to art, museums, and a way of seeing rooted in curiosity and attention. From an early age, she encouraged a deep appreciation for observation, meaning, and craftsmanship; values that continue to guide GEZZINA today.

With a master’s degree in Innovative Textile Development, Geertjes approaches swimwear through a process of discovery — where innovation meets craftsmanship. Developed alongside a family-owned atelier in Portugal, each design explores innovative contruciton, the layered possibilities of GEZZINA MESH™, and the evolving language of contemporary swimwear.
