GEZZINA was founded by designer Lisa Geertjes, rooted in a personal narrative that quietly shapes the brand’s identity. The name is drawn from her mother’s second name, an intimate tribute to the woman who first introduced her to art, museums, and the practice of truly looking. From an early age, her mother nurtured a way of seeing defined by curiosity, attention, and meaning, values that continue to guide GEZZINA.

With a master’s degree in Innovative Textile Development, Geertjes approaches swimwear through a technical and constructivist lens. Her designs are developed in close collaboration with a family-owned atelier in Portugal, where draping, layered mesh, and considered constructions are executed with precision and care.

Designed in Amsterdam and crafted in Portugal, GEZZINA exists between restraint and play, intuition and structure.
